VINTAGE 1993


Beautiful dark ruby colour, brilliant and clear.
The nose is fruity, smoky, a little spicy, tannic, slightly meaty.
Round and generous attack. Full and long.
Red fruit again in the mouth (blackcurrant, raspberry).
Finely oaked, savoury finish.
Good wine.

VINTAGE 1994


Lovely garnet colour.
Very complex, intense nose.
Fragrance of red fruit with attractive notes of vanilla and spice developing with time.
In the mouth, aromas are reminiscent of the very ripe harvest.
Round attack, fleshy, without heaviness.
The tannic structure has good maturity.
On the palate, ripe fruit, nicely oaked.
Quite a long finish.
A success.

VINTAGE 1995


Brilliant, saturated colour with ruby highlights.
The nose is complex, intense, fruity (cherry, raspberry, blackcurrant) yet floral (carnation), with a hint of nutmeg.
Hearty attack with good volume and tender tannins in the mouth.
Fruit aromas with smoky notes evolving toward leather. Balanced.
Quite a long finish with a note of cinnamon.
Very good wine.
Hide this one away in your cellar for a few years.

VINTAGE 1996


     

Beautiful, brilliant dark ruby colour.
Powerful, complex nose with great finesse.
Animal and peppery notes are nicely associated with the wood.
Quite ample, lush in the mouth. Well structured with tight tannins.
The aromas on the nose are found again in the mouth. Very ripe fruit is intermingled with a taste of undergrowth.
The finish is long and savoury.
Very good wine.

VINTAGE 1997


 

Beautiful, brilliant ruby colour, quite dark.
Very fine nose, refreshing fragrance of ripe fruit with notes of liquorice and vanilla.
In the mouth, the attack is fine, fruity, round.
Tannins are ripe and silky.
Quite good length finishing with notes of liquorice.
Good wine. A classic 97. Drink now.

Attractive, deep ruby colour.
Red fruits on the nose, judiciously oaked.
Good length, with ripe tannins in the mouth.
Well balanced, with very good ageing potential.

VINTAGE 1999


Beautiful, intense garnet. Brilliant.
The nose is dominated by spicy notes which give the wine plenty of character.
In the mouth, the pleasant attack is suave and round.
This wine remains well balanced throughout the tasting.
A solid, sound tannic structure marks the finish.
Beautiful ageing potential.

VINTAGE 2000

 

Attractive garnet colour, deep and brilliant.
Intense nose, with the scent of red fruits.
Upon swirling, more complex, spicy notes with elegant wood are revealed.
Pleasant attack, plenty of savour on the palate, aromatic, evolving towards a finish with well balanced tannins.
Good ageing potential.
